Production Engineer
The Production Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing our organization's strategic planning and long-term growth objectives. This position will support the CEO and Financial Controller in restructuring forecasting systems and improving operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities & Expectations:
• Analyze production structure and sequence of operations to identify issues and maximize productivity and efficiency. Develop process optimization to scale down repetitive tasks and integrate production processes to reduce costs. Formulate demand forecasting models based on historical demands, predictive analysis, and trend projection. Perform safety stock analysis to establish production thresholds. Responsible for supply chain management, including logistics, and manpower utilization.
• Develop and implement efficient forecasting systems ensuring milestones are met, budgets are maintained, and rollout is communicated effectively across the company.
• Recommend, plan, and implement SOPs and operational programs to improve efficiencies, prepare our organization for phased growth, increase profitability, minimize waste, and drive an exceptional customer experience.
• Review KPIs and quarterly sales to generate reports on progress in operational efficiency, analyze current production system and spearhead the development of new procedures and structures in collaboration with our CEO, FC, and BOH managers to improve efficiency for all Breads Bakery departments and locations.
• Collaborate with BOH managers to analyze production structure, plan for scheduled changes in volume and pars, establish production thresholds and improve bake schedules.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum master’s in management of technology or industrial engineering or foreign equivalent plus knowledge of operations management, and decision models and analytics required.
• 5+ years operating and strategy experience, preferably in food and beverage, with a proven record of delivering results
• Extensive experience with Excel, Google Sheets and related applications- this role requires above average technological literacy
• Exceptional aptitude for problem solving- ease in dissecting ambiguous situations and providing thoughtful recommendations on next steps
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
• Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, strong quantitative and analytical dexterity, and ability to multitask
Compensation & Benefits:
• $89,400 annual salary
• Position is 100% in person at our flagship bakery in Union Square (18 E 16th Street, New York, NY 10003)
